SUMMARY:TRANCE SONICS - The Merging of Hypnotherapy and Sound Healing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:TRANCE SONICS – The Merging of Hypnotherapy and Sound Healing Workshop \nWorkshop Date: January 22\, 2022 \nWorkshop Time: 9:30am-4:30pm (hour lunch break) \nWORKSHOP FEE: $150 PER PERSON \nThis one day intensive will introduce participants to concepts and practices using sound and music for meditative\, centering\, and healing purposes. Viewing through a double lens\, we will also learn about the nature of trance or hypnosis\, and explore some underlying approaches related to the induction and use of trance. Historically\, hypnotherapy has employed primarily spoken language to induce trance and suggest change. Here\, we will be focusing primarily on non-verbal inductions\, but also addressing how to enhance sound healing practices with elegant linguistic patterns. \nTraditional healers of all cultures have used vibrations – specifically the audible vibrations of sound and music\, to induce and enhance states of healing\, vision and creativity. We will be addressing two questions: How can today’s healers and therapists better utilize music and sound healing practices; and how can those who are following the path of sound healing learn to incorporate spoken “hypnotic” language and an understanding of the “structure” of trancing\, into their existing practice? \nWHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN: Singing bowls\, tingshas and gongs to create fractal healing immersion field • Tuning fork protocols for entrainment • Hypnotic and NLP language patterns (reframing\, the specificity model\, embedded suggestions\, etc.) • Shamanic journeying w/ drum and rattle • Vowel sounds and energy centers in the body • “Magical” Overtone singing and Sino-cranial vibration • Entrainment (The “Frequency Following Effect”) \nINSTRUCTOR BIO: Peter Blum\, a multi-instrumentalist\, creates a unique meditational environment using large gongs\, bells\, cymbals\, tuning forks\, and his collection of over 40 Himalayan singing bowls. He has given workshops and soundhealing concerts at Omega Institute\, Abode of the Message\, The Intʼl Hypnosis Federation\, The Graduate Institute\, and yoga studios across America\, Puerto Rico\, and Mexico. Peter is also an award-winning hypnotherapist and hypnosis instructor\, who has trained hundreds in the spiritual art of hypnosis. He was inducted into the Hypnosis Hall of Fame in 2021. \n

SUMMARY:Sound Meditation with Monica Mullen
DESCRIPTION:Sound Meditation With Monica Mullen\nStart with a guided meditation paired with instruments to navigate the busy mind and allow the body to enter relaxation so it can restore itself in its natural rhythm.\nSound therapy has been an integral part of Monica’s spiritual growth\, deepening her relationship to the present moment. It brings her complete joy to facilitate experiences for others as she intuitively uses a variety of overtone emitting instruments to help empower participants settle into stillness and relaxation. \nMonica starts with a guided meditation paired with instruments in which she gives tools to use to navigate the busy mind during the session\, helping to achieve slower brainwaves to allow the body to enter relaxation so it can restore itself in its natural rhythm which is hindered by mental and physical stress. She utilizes visualization to encourage the use of the creative imagination\, adding some breath work to help release stored tension and use vocalization to bring the vibration into the body which stimulates the vagus nerve. She then allows the participants drift off to deeply listen to the sound with all of their senses. \nCLASS LENGTH: 2 hours \nINSTRUCTOR BIO: Monica found her passion as a sound practitioner after playing a singing bowl in late 2019. Since then she has followed the call of the sound by experimenting intuitively with instruments\, and receiving training from Lana Ryder\, Alexandre Tannous\, and David Shamesh. Intrigued by how sound can effect the mind\, body\, spirit\, as a divine consciousness\, she continues her education on such topics. Residing in charming Lancaster\, PA\, Monica facilitates group sound meditations and private sessions in the surrounding area\, also incorporating reiki and quantum touch in her sessions. \nCLASS FEE: $40.00 \nREMINDER: Please bring things to help you be comfortable during the one hour sound meditation session. We suggest a mat\, pillows\, blankets\, eye mask\, etc.

Held in our demo kitchen\, we will show you how to make infused butter and oil to give you the building blocks to include hemp in your dishes!\n\nDecarb & Infuse\n\nDecarboxylation\, or decarb for short\, is the process of altering the chemical makeup of cannabis to create a potent formula for edibles\, oils\, and salves. During this class\, you’ll learn the decarboxylation process so you can infuse your medical marijuana or hemp flower into foods.\n\nDosing Edibles\n\nUnless you invest in an at-home THC tester\, there’s no way to know exactly how potent your infusion is. During this session\, we’ll go over the process of dosing edibles to ensure safe consumption.*\n\nAbout the InstructorAs a chronic pain sufferer\, related to spine issues and migraines\, Heather Kreider a Registered Nurse\, knows first-hand how cannabis can help patients live a happier\, healthier life. SUMMARY:Puff-Puff-Art - Origami Christmas Ornaments
DESCRIPTION:What is origami? \n\nOrigami is the Japanese art or process of folding squares of paper into representational shapes. \n\nWhy should I try origami? \nOrigami is one avenue that provides both mental and physical stimulus with exercise. Origami helps develop hand-eye coordination\, fine motor skills\, and mental concentration. The use of the hands directly stimulates areas of the brain. Origami is used in various therapeutic settings\, including art therapy and in stroke and injury rehabilitation. \nPaper folding challenges us at the cognitive level as we follow instructions\, learning new skills and activities. Physically our hands become active. Impulses are sent to the brain activating both left and right hemispheres of the brain. Tactile\, motor and visual areas of the brain are activated and brought into use. Memory\, non-verbal thinking\, attention\, 3D comprehension\, and imagination are further stimulated by the brain’s exploration of Origami. \nEmotional satisfaction is a byproduct of our work as we watch a piece of paper transformed into a new creation. Many find the folding of paper\, a form of relaxation. In addition\, grandchildren are often fascinated when we share our skills and creations with them. \nGeneral class information: \n\n\nChannel your creative fire with a little help from your friends and a sparked-up pre-roll! We encourage you to bring an open mind\, as Darrian Schaeffer\, local artist and Origami master\, guides us through the creative process of folding special paper into a creative form – a cannabis bud!  Many artists use cannabis to conjure creativity and ground them in the moment with their medium. We encourage cannabis use to calm the nerves and get the brush flowing across the canvas. Our goal is to create more than an origami cannabis bud\, we want to build a sense of community where we have fun and break the stigma surrounding cannabis\, on art project at a time! \nClass length: 60-90 minutes \nAbout the Instructor: Darrian Schaeffer\, one of our amazing Production Assistants\, is a creator at work and at play. When his day helping us make the products you love is done\, you’re likely to find him creating art (painting is his go-to medium) and origami. When it’s time to replenish\, he prefers to fill up on tacos and Skittles. If you’re in the mood for a good conversation\, you’ll find a willing partner in Darrian — we suggest asking him about the book he’s writing. \nClass Fee: $20.00 ($5 pre-roll available with ticket purchase) \n\n\n\nPlease note: This is a cannabis-friendly space; however\, we ask that if you consume medical marijuana (MMJ) on-site\, that you show a valid PA ID and PA MMJ card. All PA MMJ brought into the facility must be in approved PA medical marijuana packaging with the patient’s information clearly visible. All PA MMJ card holders MUST abide by PA MMJ regulations including NO COMBUSTION of PA MMJ. Vaping\, oils\, tinctures\, sprays\, capsules\, and troches are permitted but absolutely no smokable equipment or tools are allowed onsite.

SUMMARY:Restorative Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Designed to combat the mental and physical repercussions of everyday stress. Still the mind\, increase balance and capacity for healing\, boosts immune system functions\, and deeply relaxes the body to alleviate built up stress. \nA meditative form of yoga with a focus on breathwork and longer-held poses. More relaxed\, passive\, and slow-paced\, allowing the body tissue to rest and recover. Restorative yoga releases mind-body tension by moving at a slower\, more-relaxed pace that allows the body tissues to rest and recover. Props\, such as blocks\, straps\, and bolsters\, may be used to support your pose with ease to achieve relaxed comfort. \nRestorative yoga works with the parasympathetic nervous system\, which targets our response to stress in the body. Slow poses paired with breathwork can slow down the heart rate while increasing blood flow to your vital organs. \nCLASS LENGTH: 60 minutes \nYOGA INSTRUCTOR BIO: Beth Weaver is a Modern Alchemist\, a visionary and psychic with a drive to introduce people to their highest selves. Her way of seeing the physical and subtle human energy system leads her to notice dis-ease\, discomfort\, and desires in the physical and energetic subtle bodies. This information helps her to guide others to a greater sense of awareness and well-being. She uses her skills to address psycho-emotional and soul-related challenges that often present in the physical body. My gentle yet direct approach has guided clients to understand and articulate feelings and overcome obstacles. \nCLASS FEE: $15.00
