No tickets needed—simply bring your open mind and heart\, and let’s journey together. \nMore About the Listening Hour & Gong Meditation \nThe modern renaisance of psychedelic clinical trials for therapeutic purposes regularly includes mystical experiences. Lead institute\, Johns Hopkins University\, uses the name The Center for Psychedelic and Conciousness Research to reflect the above quote. \nHarvard psychology professors Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert more than a half century before the “Renaisance” engaged in their own psychedelic research that resulted in both of their expulsions from the school. The government sent Leary to jail. Alpert went to India to continue his psychedelic inspired spiritual quest. Frustrated and depressed Dick Alpert was ready to come home after months of seeking. Finally as fate/karma would have it he found his way to his guru and to his new incarnation as Ram Dass. \nRam Dass wrote the groundbreaking “Remember- Be Here Now” story of his awakening process. Multiple books and lectures followed as he clearly and humorously explains our human predicament in a world of materialism/ego that competes with our inner yearning for peace of mind and the traps that unfold. No drugs required but they are honored as one of many techniques for getting free. \nListening to Ram Dass’s lectures in community captures the essence of those early days. His wisdom endures (he died in 2019) for free on the You Tube Ram Dass Channel maintained by his former students and devotees of his guru Maharaji.
