Through a series of magical connections\, she started taking private lessons with local sound teacher Lana Ryder in 2020 through her Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy\, which Monica now teaches classes and workshops for. Monica also continuously trains under Alexandre Tannous\, who is an ethnomusicologist\, sound therapist and sound researcher in NYC\, and David Shemesh\, an incredibly skilled sound facilitator and teacher based in Portugal. She enjoys continuing her education from other highly skilled sound practitioners such as Mitch Nur and Mike Tamburo. Monica has been a full time sound practitioner since 2021\, offering group and private Sound Sessions in the area\, as well as for corporate events and retreats. Her current interests besides sound and music include biogeometry\, esoteric studies and creating art. With a focus on electric guitar melodies\, his unique patchworks of instrumental songs weave together elements of rock and roll\, jam band grooves\, and smooth jazz\, creating a psychedelic soundscape that feels like it’s floating through space. Each performance is a dynamic journey\, where songs build and evolve live\, delivering an unforgettable experience of creativity and musical mastery. \nLive in The Lounge performances are free events (no cover!) so come in and enjoy our green goods while soaking in good vibes and great music! \nMUST BE 21 years or older to attend. \nPlease note: This is a cannabis-friendly space. Only combustion of cannabis is allowed onsite (no tobacco). Absolutely NO OUTSIDE CANNABIS is allowed onsite. All cannabis must be purchased in house. \nBYOB Policy for The Lounge at Hempfield Apothetique: \nWe aim to provide a safe\, enjoyable\, and classy environment for all guests. Please carefully review our BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) policy: \nWhile we specialize in providing premium hemp-derived THC-infused cocktails and products\, we also allow guests to bring their own alcoholic beverages to enjoy during their visit. To ensure a seamless experience for all\, we have established the following BYOB guidelines: \n1. Bottle Fee \n\nGuests bringing their own alcoholic beverages are required to pay a $20 bottle fee per bottle. Six-pack fee is $10 per six pack. This fee helps cover the costs of providing use of the space\, glassware\, and the clean-up services associated with BYOB.\nThe fee applies to each bottle brought into The Lounge\, including wine\, spirits\, and other beverages.\n\n2. Permitted Beverages \n\nBYOB includes: wine\, spirits\, beers\, ciders. Coolers or other beverages are not permitted.\nAlcoholic beverages must arrive in sealed\, unopened containers.\n\n3. Age Requirements \n\nAll guests must be 21 years or older and provide valid identification upon entry.\n\n4. Responsible Consumption \n\nWe encourage responsible consumption and reserve the right to refuse service or request that individuals discontinue alcohol consumption if necessary.\nNo drinking is permitted directly from open bottles or cans.\n\n5. Bud Bar Offerings \n\nGuests can purchase mocktails from our Bud Bar to use as mixers for their beverages\, enhancing their BYOB experience with our unique creations.\n\n6. Pairing with Lounge Offerings \n\nGuests are welcome to enjoy their BYOB beverages alongside our hemp-derived THC products and infused offerings for a complete experience.\n\n7. Payment and Entry \n\nThe $10-$20 bottle fee must be paid upon entry at the bud bar before beverages are served.\n\n8. Outside Mixers and Glassware \n\nPlease refrain from bringing outside mixers or glassware. DESCRIPTION:Gong Journey with Monica Mullen \nIn July\, Monica Mullen attended a week long training for Gongs over 44”\, which was hosted by two world-wide recognized Gong Artists\, Mitch Nur and Mike Tamburo\, aptly named “Big Metal.” She came home with a 52” gong. Because it is so large and can not fit in her car\, it will not be making many public appearances\, but Hempfield Apothetique is close enough to her home that she can roll it down the street! This is the first time it will be “rolled out” for the public! Monica will give a little talk about the beauty and mystery of the gong and some guidance to help prepare you for the experience. You may sit and observe\, or you may lay down\, the choice is yours. Afterwards there will be time for sharing your experience\, if you so wish to express it in words. \nDATE: Wednesday\, September 24\, 2025\nTIME: 7:30-9pm\nFEE: $30 \nAt your Service: When Monica Mullen struck a singing bowl in 2019\, an undeniable urge to follow the sound awoke in her and she knew she must heed the call. Through a series of magical connections\, she started taking private lessons with local sound teacher Lana Ryder in 2020 through her Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy\, which Monica now teaches classes and workshops for. Monica also continuously trains under Alexandre Tannous\, who is an ethnomusicologist\, sound therapist and sound researcher in NYC\, and David Shemesh\, an incredibly skilled sound facilitator and teacher based in Portugal. She enjoys continuing her education from other highly skilled sound practitioners such as Mitch Nur and Mike Tamburo. Monica has been a full time sound practitioner since 2021\, offering group and private Sound Sessions in the area\, as well as for corporate events and retreats. Her current interests besides sound and music include biogeometry\, esoteric studies and creating art.
