DESCRIPTION:Life Drawing & Painting from Live Model with Darren Jordan\nThe human figure is capable of expressing so much. As humans\, we are innately wired to understand it; we feel a person’s sadness\, we see their strength\, and we can understand each other just by making eye contact. What is it that we are picking up on? \nJoin us to gain practice in and insight into the art of depicting the human figure.  Class will include time with the live model\, instructor demonstration\, and individualized feedback.  Artists can bring any types of sketch mediums.  There will be charcoal and paper available for participants with no prior experience. It is encouraged that only advanced artists bring paint/color mediums\, however\, instructor can assist in both drawing and painting techniques at various skill levels. \nDate: Sunday\, June 29\, 2025 \nTime: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm \n\n1:00 pm (non-nude)\n3:00 pm (nude)\n\nFee (both non-nude and nude session): $25 \nFee (1:00 pm – non-nude session): $15 \nFee (3:00 pm – nude session): $15 \nInstructor Bio: Darren Jordan has BFA and MFA\, both in Fine Art Printmaking\, an extensive record of showing his work in galleries in Baltimore\, Lancaster\, Philadelphia\, New York\, and Harrisburg and has taught art courses at Tyler School of Art\, The Art Institute\, and Harrisburg Area Community College with over 15 years of teaching experience. \nDarren has offered open figure drawing meetups to students of various colleges and local artists to gain continued practice in drawing the human figure for over 12 years.  “While art explores countless different subjects\, countless technique and approaches\, one thing that remains the same in it all is the humanity behind its creation.  Figure Drawing as a practice is a key to understanding the humanity behind the observing eye.” \nClass No-Show & Cancellation Policy \nAt Hempfield Apothetique\, we strive to provide the best experience for all our guests.
