DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 6th Annual Print Crawl!\nDid you know September 1 is not only First Friday but also Lancaster Print Crawl in downtown Lancaster? Sooo much fun in one night! Are you up for it? We are! \nWe will be one of the stops where each Print Crawl participant will add print elements to their piece of art. Visit lancasterprintcrawl.com for details. \nWe’ll also have our own community art project happing in-house\, so stop to contribute your creativity. Plus view Lynn Hocker’s painting (Amish Hemp Farmer inspired) “Up In Smoke” along with his other paintings. ???? And while you wait\, enjoy a beer from Our Town Brewery or a hard cider from Levengoods of Lancaster! ???? Or snack on savory treats from Soul Country Vegan. \nWhat is Lancaster Print Crawl? \nAn interactive printing event that occurs on the first Friday in September each year highlighting the talented design and print communities in Lancaster PA. And we’re proud to announce that Hempfield Apothetique is one of the Print Crawl stops along the way! \nThe Print Crawl is a short walk around downtown Lancaster\, PA that occurs on the first Friday in September each year from 5-9pm. You will need to pick up your poster at the designated registration table in Heritage Square. Registration will open at 4pm\, but none of the print shops will be open until 5pm. Your poster will come with a program booklet that has the map in it you will need to use. Follow the map around downtown to each of the print shops to complete your poster. Stops include screen printing\, letterpress printing\, stamping\, laser cutting and vinyl sticker graphics. The whole crawl is about 1 mile (one way) walking start to finish. \nThe event is set up as “pay-what-you-can” ranging from $0-$20 (buy your poster here) with the additional option of donating to our fundraisers the night of the event OR through our GoFundMe campaigns. The money generated from poster sales goes towards the event costs to ensure we are able to continue coordinating the Print Crawl each year. We also raise money for one graphic design student at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (https://gofund.me/d465f14f) and one design/printing student at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology (https://gofund.me/9c06beb2). Donations go directly to whichever school you choose to support. \nYOU MUST PURCHASE A BLANK POSTER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CRAWL! (you can buy your poster here) You can buy a poster in advance and show your receipt to receive your poster the night of the crawl or you can purchase posters the night of the event although we don’t recommend this option as we might sell out ahead of time. There are options when purchasing posters. DESCRIPTION:Why Puff & Paint? \nCalling all beginner artists and seasoned painters: Channel your creative fire with a little help from your friends and a sparked-up pre-roll! \nWe encourage you to bring an open mind\, as Heather Hostetter guides us through the creative process of transferring ideas from your imagination to a canvas you can take home and proudly display. \nMany artists use cannabis to conjure creativity and ground them in the moment with their medium. We encourage cannabis use to calm the nerves and get the brush flowing across the canvas. \nOur goal is to create more than a canvas\, we want to build a sense of community where we have fun and break the stigma surrounding cannabis\, on painting at a time! \nCLASS DATE: Friday\, September 1\, 2023 \nTIME: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm \nCLASS FEE: $25.00 ($5 HEMP FLOWER pre-roll available with ticket purchase) \nINSTRUCTOR BIO: Heather Hostetter\, MA\, MBA\, ATR-BC\, LPC is a local Art Therapist and artist with over 25 years of helping the community cope and strive towards wellness with the process of creating together. \nMUST BE 18 years or older to attend the class. \n\n\n\nPlease note: This is a cannabis-friendly space; however\, we ask that if you consume medical marijuana (MMJ) on-site\, that you show a valid PA ID and PA MMJ card. All PA MMJ brought into the facility must be in approved PA medical marijuana packaging with the patient’s information clearly visible. All PA MMJ card holders MUST abide by PA MMJ regulations including NO COMBUSTION of PA MMJ. Vaping\, oils\, tinctures\, sprays\, capsules\, and troches are permitted but absolutely no smokable equipment or tools are allowed onsite.
