Gillman\, M.S. | Career Coach/Counselor | 200 hour RYT Certified Yoga Instructor \nAs a Yoga Instructor\, Wendy was trained in Thailand and experienced immersion into yoga through teacher training. Held in our demo kitchen\, we will show you how to make infused butter and oil to give you the building blocks to include hemp in your dishes!\n\nDecarb & Infuse\n\nDecarboxylation\, or decarb for short\, is the process of altering the chemical makeup of cannabis to create a potent formula for edibles\, oils\, and salves. During this class\, you’ll learn the decarboxylation process so you can infuse your medical marijuana or hemp flower into foods.\n\nDosing Edibles\n\nUnless you invest in an at-home THC tester\, there’s no way to know exactly how potent your infusion is. You can\, however\, do a calculation to get a rough estimate of potency. During this session\, we’ll go over the process of dosing edibles to ensure safe consumption.*\n\nAbout the InstructorAs a chronic pain sufferer\, related to spine issues and migraines\, Heather Kreider a Registered Nurse\, knows first-hand how cannabis can help patients live a happier\, healthier life. She is an Medical Marijuana card holder in PA\, cannabis advocate and strives to break the stigma that cannabis users are “a bunch of burnouts.” Heather is also certified in Advanced Cannabis Training and is PA Dispensary Agent Certified. \nHeather also helps patients navigate the process of obtaining a medical marijuana card\, working with dispensaries\, and determining the medical marijuana formulations and application methods that will best target the symptoms they’re experiencing. Her goal is to alleviate the gap in patient education by helping individuals understand the different types of cannabinoids\, terpenes\, and ways to consume medical marijuana. DESCRIPTION:Post-traumatic stress disorder affects a wide demographic. We hold a soft spot for veterans\, abuse survivors\, and all those who have served – even if you don’t consider yourself a vet because you never saw combat. \nPost-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can develop after a frightening\, distressing event\, or after a prolonged traumatic experience\, which is categorized as complex PTSD\, or CPTSD. \nTypes of events that can lead to PTSD include: \n\nserious accidents\nphysical or sexual assault\nabuse\, including childhood or domestic abuse\nexposure to traumatic events at work\, including remote exposure\nserious health problems\, such as being admitted to intensive care\nchildbirth experiences\, such as losing a baby\nthe death of someone close to you\nwar and conflict\ntorture\n\nPTSD develops in about 1 in 3 people who experience severe trauma\, and those who have depression and/or anxiety without much family support are more likely to develop PTSD after a distressing event. \nPeople with PTSD continue to produce high amounts of fight or flight hormones\, even when there’s no danger. \nWe are here to help those feeling distressed\, anxious\, and alone find a sense of community and emotional release through artistic mediums. \nDesigned to improve motor functions\, foster self-esteem\, build emotional resilience\, and enhance social skills\, Art Therapists work with people seeking emotional\, creative\, and spiritual growth. \nBy definition\, “Art therapy engages the mind\, body\, and spirit in ways that are distinct from verbal articulation alone.
